Nimlas, one of Finland’s leading providers of technical installations and services, has acquired DT Systems Oy, a specialist in data centre cabling and demanding telecom and network installations. DT Systems will continue to operate under its own name in line with the Nimlas model of local responsibility and group strength.
DT Systems brings more than 25 years of experience in data centre environments, delivering large-scale projects across Finland. The company specialises in high-performance copper and fibre cabling, rack and equipment installations, and end-to-end delivery for mission-critical environments such as data centres, hospitals and large commercial buildings.
“DT Systems adds strong expertise in data centre cabling and demanding telecom installations. This complements our existing offering and strengthens our position in complex projects—particularly in data centres and healthcare facilities,” says Kimmo Lehtonen, Business Director, Nimlas Finland.
Data centre projects are defined by tight schedules, multi-shift operations and high demands on project management and technical expertise. DT Systems has built its position by consistently delivering reliable, high-quality installations in these environments.
“The rapidly evolving data centre market requires continuous development of expertise. We have invested in strong partner networks, supplier collaboration and ongoing training, and have delivered more than a dozen data centre projects across Finland,” says Markus Filppula, managing director of DT Systems.
Beyond data centre projects, DT Systems delivers telecom, IT and security network solutions for demanding environments, particularly in hospitals and commercial buildings. Its services cover the full lifecycle—from design and installation to maintenance—including structured cabling, fibre networks and advanced security systems.
The company also has strong capabilities in mission-critical communication infrastructure for public authorities and emergency services.
As projects are increasingly procured as integrated packages, collaboration across disciplines becomes more important.
“Our strength lies in delivering complete solutions, particularly in hospital projects where telecom, data, security and alarm systems are implemented as one. As part of Nimlas, we can collaborate even more closely with electrical and building automation companies and take on larger project scopes,” Filppula says.
“Joining Nimlas supports our ability to grow while maintaining local leadership. Combined with the strength of the group, it’s a strong fit for us.”
DT Systems will continue with its current management and employees. The company has annual revenues of approximately EUR 4 million and employs 19 people.
