Nimlas Finland continues its growth journey with the acquisition of Sioma, a well-established electrical and telecom installation company operating in the city of Savonlinna in eastern Finland. This marks Nimlas’ first entry into the area, further broadening the group’s nationwide presence. Founded in 1997, Sioma reported nearly EUR 2 million in revenue in 2024 and employs 18 skilled professionals.

A versatile provider of electrical and telecom solutions

Sioma serves companies, public organisations and housing cooperatives with a broad range of electrical and information system installations. Its expertise includes electrical and telecom contracting, lighting and control systems, solar power solutions, fibre-optic technologies, fire detection and surveillance systems, and substation and operations management services. The company also holds several long-term framework agreements that support stable operations.

Sioma is currently delivering multiple significant projects, including major electrical works for a new municipal sports facility and an expansion project at a regional technology park. The company enters the coming year with a strong order book and a solid pipeline of upcoming projects.

“We have several projects starting and in tendering, but we wanted to secure resources and continuity for the years ahead,” says Petri Valtonen, Managing Director of Sioma.

“With Nimlas, we found a shared view and a model that allows us to keep our identity while gaining stronger backing,” adds Matti Pirttijärvi, Sales Director.

Entrepreneurs Petri Valtonen and Matti Pirttijärvi will join the Nimlas ownership programme as part of the transaction.

Supporting Nimlas Finland’s strategic growth

The acquisition of Sioma marks Nimlas Finland’s fourth company acquisition this year, alongside three asset transactions that have further strengthened the group’s capabilities in the Finnish market. Nimlas Finland aims to reach EUR 550 million in revenue by 2029.

“Sioma’s professionalism — both in developing their company and in their technical expertise — has been evident throughout our discussions. We’ve also received strong feedback about them from other entrepreneurs in our group. Dedicated professionals like them are exactly the kind of talent that strengthens our network,” says Mikko Sahikallio, Business Area Director at Nimlas Finland.
