Nimlas Sweden – Sandbäckens establishes presence in Norrbotten and Västerbotten Counties – Acquires Umia Nord and Umia Skellefteå

The acquisition is part of Sandbäckens’ long-term strategy, “5-50-500,” which targets SEK 5 billion in turnover, 50 new companies, and SEK 500 million in profit. Following these acquisitions, Sandbäckens’ total pro forma turnover amounts to SEK 3.7 billion.

As part of the acquisition, Umia Nord and Umia Skellefteå will be integrated into the Sandbäckens brand in the near future, with the ambition to become an even stronger player in the market.

Umia Nord AB, founded in 2015 by Anders Rosengren, Per Nordbrandt, and Magnus Holmlund, currently employs 114 people and reports a turnover of SEK 282 million (2024). The company provides installations in electricity, controls, ventilation, HVAC, security, and fiber. Its customers are primarily large construction contractors and public property owners.

Umia Skellefteå AB, founded in 2016 by Fredrik Kandel, Johan Johansson, and Stefan Kandel, currently employs 69 people and reports a turnover of SEK 147 million (2024). Umia Skellefteå specializes in installations of electricity, controls, ventilation, HVAC, and fiber. Customers include Skellefteå Municipality/SKEBO, large and mid-sized construction companies, property owners, housing cooperatives, and consumers.

The acquisition will be finalized in August.
