Rovaniemen Sähkö- ja Säätölaite Oy, established in 1986, is one of Finland's leading experts in building automation, providing comprehensive lifecycle services from programming, installation, and commissioning to long-term maintenance. In addition, it offers fire alarm system services. In 2024, RSS recorded a turnover of EUR 1.8 million and employs nine specialists, including brothers Marko Rinne-Kanto and Matti Rinne-Kanto who will now join the Nimlas’ ownership program.

"We operate extensively north of Oulu, particularly in demanding sites such as hospitals, and we see increasing demand driven by tourism growth in Lapland. Joining Nimlas allows us to focus on developing our services and team", says Marko Rinne-Kanto, managing director of Rovaniemen Sähkö- ja Säätölaite Oy.

RSS has a strong track record of delivering reliable building automation solutions that support critical infrastructure and complex environments. The company's expertise will further strengthen Nimlas’ capabilities in the region.

The acquisition enhances already robust automation network in Finland, which includes Automaatio T&N, Hausmatic, Cervius, and Optimation Finland, alongside experts in KNX and process systems. The network is capable of servicing all major system brands nationwide.

"Building automation plays a central role in energy efficiency, lifecycle cost management, and comfort. With this new acquisition, we are significantly expanding our service capacity in Northern Finland, supporting both local and national clients", says Pekka Pöykkö, Business Director for Automation and Service Business at Nimlas Finland.
