Nimlas Finland is strengthening its presence in Northern Finland through the acquisitions of LVI-Vanhatalo Oy and Sähköasennus Kivilompolo Oy. LVI-Vanhatalo specialises in HVAC and plumbing contracting and installations, while Sähköasennus Kivilompolo provides electrical contracting and installation services. Together, the companies have annual revenue of approximately EUR 7 million and employ 28 professionals. Both will continue under their existing names and management.

LVI-Vanhatalo is based in Tornio in Northern Finland and has operated since 1982. The company provides HVAC and plumbing contracting and installation services across Lapland for public-sector organisations, businesses, housing companies and industrial customers. LVI-Vanhatalo has annual revenue of approximately EUR 3.7 million and 15 employees.

The company is led by brothers Kimmo and Janne Vanhatalo, who will continue to lead the business following the acquisition.

“It was important to us that we can continue under our own name and in our own way. We will remain the same local company our customers know, while Nimlas gives us new opportunities and a broader network to support the development and growth of our business,” says Kimmo Vanhatalo, Managing Director of LVI-Vanhatalo.

More opportunities through collaboration

Sähköasennus Kivilompolo has roots dating back to 1991 and today operates across Northern Finland. The company provides electrical contracting and installation services for public-sector properties, commercial premises, housing companies, hotels, holiday homes and other tourism-related construction. It also installs and services air-source heat pumps. The company has annual revenue of approximately EUR 3.2 million and 13 employees.

“Nimlas gives us opportunities to participate in larger projects. By working together with other Nimlas companies, we can combine our expertise and offer customers broader solutions. This kind of collaboration is exactly what interests us,” says Antti Kivilompolo, Managing Director of Sähköasennus Kivilompolo.

LVI-Vanhatalo and Sähköasennus Kivilompolo have worked together on several projects over the years. Both companies have a strong local presence and established customer relationships in Northern Finland.

“Both are well-managed companies that know their markets and customers. They have built strong local networks and earned the trust of their customers. It is important to us that they continue building on what they have achieved under their own names and existing management,” says Janne Korhonen, Business Director at Nimlas Finland.

The acquisitions have been agreed and are expected to be completed in November 2026.

The acquisitions are another step in Nimlas Finland’s strong growth in 2026. Acquisitions agreed so far this year represent more than EUR 70 million in combined annual revenue.

Once the agreed acquisitions have been completed, Nimlas Finland will consist of 56 locally managed companies and employ close to 2,000 people.

In 2025, Nimlas Finland had pro forma revenue of EUR 334 million. Nimlas Finland aims to reach approximately EUR 800 million in revenue by 2031, with acquisitions, organic growth, new service areas and new companies established together with entrepreneurs all contributing to the growth strategy.
