Nimlas Finland has acquired Netion Oy, a network infrastructure company operating in western Finland. Netion builds and maintains telecommunications and electrical networks for telecom operators, utilities and industrial customers. The company delivers complete infrastructure projects from groundworks and cable installation to connections and commissioning. Netion has annual revenue of approximately EUR 1.8 million and 13 employees.

Netion delivers telecommunications and electrical network projects, including new construction, network modernisation, maintenance and repairs. The company also carries out joint construction projects combining electrical and telecommunications infrastructure.

A key strength of Netion is its ability to deliver projects end-to-end with its own employees and equipment.

“Our strength is that we can take responsibility for the entire project. This makes things simpler for the customer, as there is no need to divide the work between several contractors. I believe this is one of the reasons why we have been successful,” says Petri Peltoniemi, Managing Director of Netion.

New opportunities for growth

Peltoniemi has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Following the acquisition, Netion will continue to operate under its own name and existing management, in line with Nimlas’ decentralised operating model.

“We have never really pursued growth for growth’s sake. We have focused on doing our work efficiently and to a high standard, and that has served us well. Now there is new energy to develop the company and grow the business. It is valuable to have people around us with whom we can take the company forward,” Peltoniemi says.

For Nimlas Finland, the acquisition expands its capabilities from technical installations within buildings and data centres into external telecommunications and electrical network infrastructure.

“Netion brings us new capabilities in network infrastructure. With Netion, our expertise now extends beyond buildings to external telecommunications and electrical networks, from groundworks all the way through to commissioning. At the same time, Netion gains the support of the wider Nimlas network and new opportunities for collaboration,” says Janne Korhonen, Business Director at Nimlas Finland.

Nimlas continues to grow strongly in Finland through both organic growth and acquisitions. The combined annual revenue of businesses acquired or agreed to be acquired during 2026 exceeds EUR 60 million. Nimlas Finland consists of 54 locally managed companies and employs close to 2,000 technical installation and services professionals.

Nimlas aims to reach more than EUR 800 million in revenue in Finland by 2031. In 2025, Nimlas Finland’s pro forma revenue was EUR 334 million.
