Founded in 1997, Avitor Sähkö is a Tampere-region based electrical specialist with extensive S1 electrical contracting rights. The company’s core expertise lies in medium-voltage works and technically demanding electrical projects such as battery energy storage systems and high-power charging solutions, delivered from design through to implementation. In 2024, Avitor Sähkö reported revenue of approximately EUR 5.7 million and employs nearly 20 electrical professionals in addition to its two entrepreneurs.

Strengthening Nimlas’ service network in Pirkanmaa

In addition to electrical contracting, Avitor Sähkö has strong expertise in the commissioning and testing of complex electrical systems, as well as in responsible electrical operations management in both industrial and hospital environments. The company’s service and maintenance business further strengthens Nimlas’ local service network in the Pirkanmaa region.

“With the stronger shoulders of Nimlas behind us, we can take Avitor’s growth to the next level. The acquisition enables us to focus on even more demanding projects while further developing our service and maintenance business. It is exciting to become part of a strong network of electrical experts within the group,” comment Arto Vitkala and Timo Raittinen, entrepreneurs of Avitor Sähkö, who will continue to lead the company.

Growing data centre investments increase demand for medium-voltage expertise

Ongoing data centre projects are increasing demand for Avitor Sähkö’s expertise in substations, transformer stations and power distribution works.

“The data centre market is growing rapidly, driving demand for medium-voltage and power distribution expertise. Avitor’s team combines strong core electrical competence with specialised know-how required by data centre power infrastructure,” says Mikko Sahikallio, Business Director at Nimlas.

In Finland, Nimlas has completed five acquisitions and three asset deals during 2025. The asset deals have been carried out to strengthen the operations of existing Nimlas companies.
